Advocacy 101 introduces high school to essential advocacy skills. Club members learn to effectively articulate and advocate for causes they believe in through workshops, discussions, and practical exercises. They gain insight into stakeholder engagement, persuasive messaging, and coalition building while creating positive change in their community.

Messenger Page Program
High school students who participated in Advocacy 101 are invited to apply for an all-expenses paid, week-long experience with the Florida House of Representatives’ Messenger Program. Each spring, selected teens travel with Club staff to Tallahassee to observe lawmakers, lobbyists and constituents work together in the legislative process for a week. Students also tour government buildings, watch committee meetings and participate in mock sessions in the House Chamber.
