STAR (Students Taking Active Roles) Leadership Training is a nationally recognized leadership program for high school students that fosters active citizenship through civic education. During this comprehensive 10-week program, teens engage with local government and elected officials, execute a student-led service project, and develop vital leadership skills.
After completing the program, teens will earn credit hours with Sarasota County Schools and volunteer hours for the Bright Futures Program. Graduates of STAR are also eligible to give back to a cause they care about by serving as a voting Board member for one of our 90 partner agencies.
STAR is offered four times each year. Be sure to secure your spot today!
